Item Description
Joyce Danko Studio Oil Painter donated this expressive portrait of a black Labrador retriever Seeing Eye puppy named Banach in honor of Les Banach.
Proudly dressed with a green Seeing Eye bandanna around her neck, this portrait of Seeing Eye puppy Banach shows the beautiful pup seated, from the shoulders up and gazing soulfully at the viewer in an oil on linen panel painting. Oil on linen paintings are less prone to expansion or contraction due to moisture. Linen retains its natural oils, which helps to preserve the fiber's flexibility and stops the canvas from becoming brittle. This painting measures 11" by 14" and is matted and in a portrait-oriented, 17" by 20" frame. The matting is black, with a light, warm brown accent and background.
Donated in honor of Les Banach, a longtime Seeing Eye volunteer who is greatly missed by all of his friends here at The Seeing Eye.
