Item Description
Join Luke Boushee, green wood carver, for a morning or afternoon of spoon carving and a meal. Learn green wood carving skills using a hand axe, draw knife, Sloyd knife, and hook knife.
Beginners can learn how to choose the correct wood for a project, rough out a basic spoon shape, and learn basic tool techniques to finish your spoon. Intermediate to advanced carvers can hone their craft with more complex spoon designs.
The class will culminate with a snack of chili and cornbread. If you want, use your finished spoon to enjoy the meal.
Tools and materials will be provided. Bring your own if you have them.
Participants: up to 2 people
Time: 4 hours
To be arranged for a mutually agreeable date and location during the spring/summer/fall of 2021.
