The Youth Acting Biz’s on-going, 4 week classes are taught by educators who are also working actors, writers and directors. They offer young actors a variety of important, skill-building courses and workshops such as: Sitcom Acting Class, For Legal 18s, Ins & Outs of Commercial Acting, and their new Jump Start Acting for Pre-Schoolers. They don’t just “teach." They sponsor industry showcases to give their young actors more exposure and to help get them hired. The Youth Acting Biz team has extensive industry experience and offers industry consultation services to give a well-rounded program such as help with contracts, headshots, resumes, work and labor rules, work permits, and agent / manager coachings, among others.

About Mary:

I run two Professional Acting Programs for actors ages 3-83. Well all ages.

I started Youth Acting Biz back in 2005. Youth Acting Biz offers classes in Improv, Commercial, TV and Film Acting for kids, tweens and teens. I got my BFA in Theatre Education from Emerson College and this program helped me go freelance as an actor and also practice what I teach. Our students have been seen in National Commercials, Sitcoms, Episodics, Films and heard in Animation. 90% of our students are represented.

I also work with LEGAL 18's those actors who can work younger, to navigate the business of when it makes sense to play younger and when it is better to work in the person's real age range.

I am also a professional actress/stand up, so I am auditioning just like our clients. We also have guest artists in casting, agency, management and development teach master classes throughout the year.

I worked as a recurring on Shameless as New Fiona on season 7 for 6 episodes. 

I have been a professional comic for over 22 years and got my start in NYC. 

I also recur on CONAN as a sketch actress and I just booked a feature short for AFI through  Refinery 29 called Girl Callin.
