Classes offered - Tiny Tot, Combination, Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern & Hip Hop.
The Dance Academy has been in the Portage Park neighborhood for over 50years. We believe that community and family are important. We teach many styles of dance including Combination, Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Hip-Hop. We have a variety of performance groups that go out to perform around the Chicago-land area,including a variety of competitions. . We believe that every dancer can be a STAR.
Many of our teachers started as students at The Dance Academy making it more of a family environment. Over the years they have shown their dedication and enthusiasm for dance. They show that same dedication to their students. Our teachers take pride in the accomplishments that their students achieve every year as they grow.
Jeanne Sok’s love for dance inspired her to take ownership of The Dance Academy in 1995. She has danced her whole life and has been able to spread the love of dance to many students. She has had many children start at the age of 3 and dance with us through their adult years. She has watched friendships grow and dancers blossom. The Dance Academy is more than just a dance studio, it is a home away from home where children and their parents can feel welcome. We embrace the community and the family values that come with running a small and growing business. We welcome you to join our family!
