Item Description

Six boxes of Girl Scout cookies (plus one extra bonus box) perfectly paired with the proper beverage.  These wines come from the private collections of the parents of WISH 3rd graders.  This is a one-of-a-kind gift basket that will delight any wine enthusiast and also support the wonderful Girl Scout organization. The curated wines are paired with the right cookie through intensive research:

Tagalongs and Obisidan Ridge Vineyard Cabernet 2017 

A rich, full-bodied glass of Cabernet Sauvignon is essentially the wine version of this popular well-rounded cookie. Combining sweet berries with savory notes, a cab sav is the perfect complement to the Girl Scouts' tasty marriage of chocolate and peanut butter.  This wine has flavors of dark chocolate, coffee and fresh blackberry carried on silky tannins—they speak clearly, but don’t shout. 

Do-Si-Dos and Bogle Old Vine Zinfandel 2016 

With oatmeal on the outside and creamy butter inside, these are *almost* considered healthy. We’ll take it. Pair your Do-si-dos with this delightful Bogle Old Vine Zinfandel - robust and complex, this full-bodied and well-balanced wine offers subtle oak spices on the nose. The palate brings berry, cherry and cedar flavors that are woven with a gripping texture.

 
Smores and Trinitas Chardonnay Carneros 2014

S’mores are one of the newest cookies to be added to the Girl Scout roster. They’re made with graham cookies, uber-creamy chocolate, and sweet, fluffy marshmallows, so they’d be perfect for munching on around a campfire. Pair them with this classic Trinitas Chardonnay.  The bouquet is delicate yet rich displaying delicious toasted marshmallows, vanilla bean, and the classic Trinitas signature butterscotch.  Flavors of freshly popped kettle corn make this a delight and richer notes of crème brûlée, creamed corn, and butterscotch chips. This classic California style Chardonnay has all the beautiful oaky and buttery characteristics you want with a lengthy but clean finish!

Thin Mints & Geary Pinot Noir 2016

Pair these classic, chocolate & mint cookies with a soft, fruity red like this Pinot Noir for the perfect balance. This wine has funky aromas and flavors of dusty cherries, marinated mushrooms, grenadine, and cherry lozenge with a satiny, crisp, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a tingling, medium-length finish displaying nuances of grand Marnier, dark chocolate, marinated sundried tomato, and cinnamon-vanilla with moderate oak flavor.

Samoas and  Tapiz Malbec 2017

These coconut-dusted, super-toasted cookies are packed with caramel and drizzled with chocolate, making them the perfect match for a good Malbec. This wine  comes from Tapiz's sustainably-farmed estate vineyards in Uco Valley, Mendoza. Chief Winemaker Fabian Valenzuela and Jean Claude work together to create a beautiful tapiz (tapestry) between the wine's intense fruit and its oak aging.   Cool acidity ripples through this violet-scented malbec, deep, rich and refreshing all at once. Grown at 4,430 feet in altitude, it captures both the abundant sun and the cool of the high Andes in its thirst-quenching juiciness while notes of spice, earth and herbs add detail.

 
Lemonups and Whispering Angel Cote de Provence Rose 2018 

These refreshing lemon cookies will bring you back to summer and your favorite rose – Whispering Angel.  This easy drinking dry rose exudes citrus, rose petals, nectarines, sliced dill and coriander and the signature strawberries and cream. Flavorful and intense on the medium- to full-bodied palate yet so very restrained and elegant.

If you are unable to pick up on one of these days, your item will be shipped to you and your shipping/handling fee as listed within the item listing will be charged to your credit card.  If shipping is requested, your winning bid total plus shipping/handling fees must be paid online within three days of auction close, and may take up to 5 business days for processing once payment has been received.
