Paperback, 285 pp. Slightly used, book is slightly bent and can be retrained into straightness. Francis Ellingwood Abbot was born in Boston in 1836. He served as class poet at Harvard and graduated in 1859. He exchanged ideas with some of the major thinkers of his time, including Henry David Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and Charles Darwin. He was a philosopher, teacher, author, and proponent of Free Religion. He died in 1903.
