Choose from our 5th grade NWEA Map Prep Course, our 6th grade Academic Center Entrance Exam Prep Course, our 7th grade NWEA Map Prep Course, OR our 8th grade High School Entrance Exam Prep Course and receive $150 off the course tuition from Test Prep Chicago.
Test Prep Chicago will be holding all individual tutoring sessions and group courses online for the foreseeable future. We will be using an interactive online teaching platform which includes a virtual classroom and a digital whiteboard. Students will see a live video of their instructor (and vice versa) so they are able to interact in a learning environment that is similar to that of an in-person classroom.
8th Grade Course -
Students will learn test-taking strategies as well as the math, reading comprehension, language skills, and vocabulary content universal to the selective enrollment high school entrance exam (SEHS), independent school entrance exam (ISEE), and parochial school entrance exam (HSPT).
7th Grade Course -
The NWEA MAP test is a common core aligned, computer-based test administered at CPS schools three times a year. The spring 7th grade percentiles are the scores that "count" for 1/3 of the admissions process for Chicago’s Selective Enrollment High Schools. Students will learn test-taking strategies specific to the NWEA MAP exam as well as the math and reading comprehension content tested on the NWEA MAP exam.
6th Grade Course -
The Academic Center Entrance Exam counts for 1/3 of the admissions process for Chicago’s Selective Enrollment Elementary Schools (Academic Centers). Students will learn test-taking strategies as well as the verbal and non-verbal content on the Academic Center Entrance Exam.
5th Grade Course -
