Parade in the Ice Gallery
30’’X40’’
Optical Illusion on Canvas
In order to better comprehend the historical context of the Palais de Versailles, Stephanie’s class started their project by watching videos. This helped the students have a better understanding of the festive atmosphere and life style that pervaded at the palace.
The students were asked to put together outfits that, to them, represented the historical era of the Palais de Versailles. They had a lot of fun with the costumes and having their pictures taken. The students had to imagine themselves at the Ice Gallery and posed individually acting out various situations. Thanks to some digital manipulation, the students are now part of the Ice Gallery.
This item is on display in the LILA Art Gallery.
