When PSB’s students visited “le château de Versailles” virtually, they were attracted to this “cour de marbre” in front of the King’s room because of its squares and rectangles in white and black. They also loved the gold we could see in many places in the castle. So we decided to create a new “cour de marbre”.
During the last trimester, we worked on shapes in French. We also worked on patterns. It was very interesting to revisit this vocabulary and the skills we learned to create patterns for this project.
The students pasted shapes, following the model and asking the teacher for the shape they needed. They also painted the frame in gold.
