Item Description
A “shruti box” is an instrument predominantly used in Indian classical music that follows the same concept as a harmonium, or pump organ. Its design makes use of one or two bellows that push air through tuned metal reeds inside the box.
The shruti has become very popular in kirtan chanting and chants/ meditation sits. It's beautiful, mellow sound is a lovely and calming accompaniment to Hebrew chant. Included in the lesson is a booklet of chants focusing on various themes.
Lesson will be followed with meditation and/or chanting.
Coffee included!
