Secluded in a corner of Mount Veeder where cell signals are lost and the unyielding traffic on Highway 29 goes unheard, the Hess Collection Winery offers an escape that blends today’s luxury Wine Country elegance with a time-capsule image of the pioneering Napa that often seems decades-long gone.
Guests are presented with a complete menu of tasting options, from choose-your-own flights, to chocolate or cheese pairings, to farm-to-table luncheons. But many visitors seek out Hess for its world-class art collection. The Hess galleries span three floors, dedicated to the contemporary artists Donald Hess has spent decades supporting. Pieces by Gerhard Richter, Francis Bacon, Magdalena Abakanowicz, Leopold Maler and others fill these halls.
The winner of this auction will get a Tour of the Palate Wine & Food Pairing for four people at the Hess Collection Winery. This will consist of a guided tour of The Hess Collection Art Museum, featuring works from Donald Hess’ private collection, and pairing of three current release wines expertly matched with three exquisite creations from The Hess Collection’s Executive Chef, Chad Hendrickson. You will also receive a 10% discount on all wine and merchandise purchases on that day.

The certificate is nontransferable and may not be resold. This event must be booked a minimum of one week in advance and must be scheduled based on availability. Your group may be combined with other winery guests. Valid 7 days a week at 2:00 p.m. daily. This certificate is not valid September 28 to November 26 each year.
