Item Description
You are bidding on a vintage, flat blue dachshund planter.
I have done quite a bit of searching and I believe this to be a McCoy Pottery Company Stretch Dog Animal Vase/Planter and if it is, it is RARE!!
His work goes back to the 1930's to 1940's. Go ahead and google it!!
This unique piece came from a woman's estate who had a massive collection of dachshunds so I do not believe it to be a forgery. The piece has NO chips.
The depth of the opening is 2" and is approximately 3.5" long. The entire piece is approximately 9" long and 2" wide.
You could use it as a planter or on your desk to hold your pens and pencils. Add a small pad of paper with a pen and it could sit on your kitchen counter! This piece is not lightweight. It weighs over 1 pound!
Regarding McCoy Pottery: McCoy is a brand of pottery that was produced in the United States in the early 20th century. It is probably the most collected pottery in the nation.
$3 will be added to your winning bid to ensure this one-of-a-kind piece makes it to you safely!
