In 1793, James Monroe purchased one thousand acres of land near Charlottesville, VA. His plantation, which he would name "Highland," was home to his family for nearly 25 years.
Stroll through the gardens and grounds, learn about the latest research discoveries, and explore the life of a founder. This certificate provides tickets for Four (4) to a guided tour of James Monroe's Highland. Highland today is a 535-acre estate with the atmosphere of a working plantation, complete with demonstrations and special events.

Winners can pick up their items from the Advancement Office at Congressional School, 3229 Sleepy Hollow Road, Falls Church, VA between Wednesday, April 3rd and Friday, April 12th. If you are unable to pick up your item, shipping fees will be added to the winner’s total purchase amount.
