Item Description
Willow (Micah and Kristin's Uppder Elementary Class)
“There should be music in the child's environment, just as there does exist in the child's environment spoken speech. In the social environment the child should be considered and music should be provided.” - Maria Montessori
The Willow House class project is based on the iconic design of the 1950’s & 60's Blue Note Records jazz album covers. Each student designed their own 12”x12” album cover after studying the work of renowned Esquire graphic artist, Reid Miles. Each student’s album cover title is based on an Upper El class lesson name. The class then arranged the 20 individual covers into a unique modern work of art.
