Item Description

Haven't heard of Cook-A-Book? Be glad you looked at this item...

Children's literature is full of references to foods and other ideas that can inspire cooking activities for pre-school age children. Held every Saturday from 1-3pm in instructor's home with fun themes each month, this is perfect for your 3 or 4 yr old!

In this two hour class, in which Cheryl Strauss (instructor and creator) reads a book, cooks something alongside your child referenced in story and then completes a craft themed around the book. Also, your child will:

-develop pride/confidence in their skills and abilities
- strengthen their hand and fine motor muscles
-learn basic principles of science through mixing ingredients and watching their   creations change states
-make decisions about their food (learning what works and what doesn't is a life     skill, ex: when to stop stirring the batter)
-learn how to organize as cooking is organization in a nutshell
-understand and apply their knowledge of measuring, numbers, counting and
 one-to-one correspondence

Expires June 1, 2019. Winner will be sent schedule of classes with themes to select date and address where classes take place (Preston Hollow area). Classes are limited to 6 children with Cheryl and her assistant, 3:1 child-to-teacher ratio. You are purchasing one spot for your child in the class of 6.

She looks forward to "mixing it up" with your child!
