Voted "2018 Club of the Year," " Top Nine Resorts in the World", and "2018 Top Ski Resorts", Alpine Ski Club offers a world-class ski experience in beautiful Collingwood.
Alpine's 120 acres and 760 feet of elevation are home to 36 runs served by five lifts. The terrain advances in difficulty lift by lift from a protected beginner area with a magic carpet (and clubhouse gallery seating) to five double-black expert runs aptly named The Steeps. A high-speed six-person chair and three quad chairs keep the lift lines short, especially in light of capped membership.
Expert snowmaking and grooming extend to the terrain park and competition half pipe. Race-dedicated hills are outfitted with electronic scoreboards, sound systems, and all the trappings of official events. And for those so inclined, kilometres of marked snowshoe trails and an outdoor skating rink provide variety. An on-site pro shop operated by Squire John's offers equipment rentals, tuning services, and light retail shopping.
Alpine's contemporary four-season clubhouse opened in the fall of 2016 and features a distinctive roofline, soaring ceilings, sweeping views of both the Escarpment and Georgian Bay, and a range of flexible internal spaces. Within its 45,000 square feet are the Little Kids' Club (child care), a coffee bar, change spaces, a meeting room, a quiet space for segregated activities (yoga!), rooms for athletes and consuming picnic lunches, full food & beverage service run by celebrated in-house caterer Men with Knives, an adult-only lounge and the fireside bar, and generous seating capacity throughout both indoors and on the south-facing terrace with its sunken fire pit.
