Item Description
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. Using a soft touch which is generally no greater than 5 grams - about the weight of a nickel - Jessica Ferrer, LMT, will work with you to release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system.
What conditions does CranioSacral Therapy address?
- Concussion and Traumatic Brain Injury
- Migraines and Headaches
- Chronic Neck and Back Pain
- Learning Disabilities
- ADD/ADHD
- Autism
- Stress and Tension-Related Disorders
- Motor-Coordination Impairments
- Infant and Childhood Disorders
- Chronic Fatigue
- Orthopedic Problems
- And many other conditions
In a typical session, the client lies quietly, fully clothed, while Jessica makes light contact at selected points around the head, torso, knees, and feet. This light contact consists of gentle finger pressure, with no bone manipulation or forceful thrusts such as those used in chiropractic work, bone-setting, or osteopathy.
In addition to her private practice, Jessica is a Massage Therapy Consultant for Harvard University Athletics & Sports Medicine, and has been called upon by professional athletes and Division 1 collegiate sports teams that travel to the MetroBoston area. She is also a 12-year Volunteer Massage Therapist for the Boston Athletic Association’s legendary Boston Marathon, working with elite runners, wheelchair athletes, and movement-impaired athletes.
CranioSacral Therapy is safe for adults and children (including babies).
