Item Description
My name is Kendra Gordon. Although I have never had breast cancer , I have felt the pain and struggles of someone who has. Kelly Gramblicka is my best friend, no...my sister. I was with her when she got the news. I knew this wasnt going to be easy but if someone could pull through ALL she went through, I knew she could!
She had many people who supported her, and I was right by her side. I painted this chair in hopes that we can help support more woman struggling with this terrible disease. We have to find a cure to make the pain a little less, and recovery a little quicker.
"Blackbird" by The Beatles is a song of inspiration. To take a hardship that has been thrown your way and come out of it a stronger person, and possibly help inspire others to do the same. My best friend and sister, Kelly has gone through so much and I am proud of how she emerged stronger..just as the song says.
Her cause is my cause...I love her and she inspires me. Music heals and the right words can give hope. " Blackbird singing in the dead of night...take these broken wings and learn to fly"... So inspiring!
