About JennaBeth Photography
My first camera was placed in my hands by my grandfather. I mostly loved it because of the purple paisley strap that accompanied it, but I soon grew to love it for its actual function: capturing moments in time. I’ve always loved watching people. When I was younger, we flew stand-by because my Mom was a flight attendant; so needless to say, I spent countless hours in airports waiting. I was never a bookworm or that into video games, so to pass the time I observed people. I became a chronic stare-er, so to speak. Putting a camera in front of my nose made it less obvious (and less awkward), and more of an art form. I love this quote by Elliott Erwitt, “Photography is an art of observation, it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
I never thought I would do photography professionally – it was just one of those things that happened. I started doing something I truly loved and it turned into magic. I love my job. I love the people I meet from doing my job. I love that my job has taken me to so many places and allowed me to tell so many different stories - stories of love, stories of families and generations and some sad stories too. They are all stories of life and it’s an extreme honor for me to capture those memories forever.
When I’m not out photographing you can find me having fun with my husband, daughter & our two crazy boson terriers, Frankie & Presley. I love good morning snuggles, baby giggles, foam on my coffee, happiness, love, the sun, the smell of home, natural light and a story to tell…
