Item Description
Brooklyn Game Lab takes the word “lab” seriously. They don’t just teach kids how to play games, they teach them how to analyze, discuss, and experiment with their own variants in small groups. Kids are encouraged to think out of the (game) box. Kids develop critical thinking skills like risk and resource management, the art of negotiation and deduction, and long term planning. The lab also stresses the importance of fair play, diplomacy, collaboration, and a kind, positive attitude however the game turns out.
At Brooklyn Game Labs' summer camps, they unplug your kids for awesome game play and so much more! Lab’bers play chess, cooperative, and strategy games. They create new games and modify existing games. Experienced, creative staff lead game play and analysis, and guide kids in group presentations and design sessions.
