Travel to the charming Clarkburg Old Sugar Mill, just south of Sacramento on the Delta, for a delightful tour and tasting with Three Wine Company, renowned producers of Old Vine Zinfandel and blends from Contra Costa County. And, take home one bottle each of: “Old Vines”, Bigelow, Evangelho and Live Oak.
Three Wine Company was established in 2007 by Matt & Erin Cline. Their philosophy for “three” is simple – dirt, microclimate and sustainable wine growing from the vine to the bottle. “Sustainable agriculture is what we’ve always practiced,” says Matt Cline. “Discing and dry farming have been part of our farming techniques from the beginning, and our dry climate eliminates the need for inorganic products like fungicide. We’ve always done business this way and we’re lucky to have vineyards that help us.” “Three” is best known for their wines from Contra Costa County from historic vineyards – Carignane, Mataro, and Zinfandel – located in Oakley, California.
