• Bear Flag, 2015 Sonoma County Scored 92 points by Wine Spectator. Rooted in the independent California spirit, Bear Flag Sonoma County Zinfandel is a true original. Their winemaker harnesses the wild, untamed Zinfandel vines the region is known for and crafts a bold wine that is full of character and unrelenting flavor.
• Cougars Leap Winery 2010 Black Rock, Lake County Nestled in the Red Hills of Lake County, California, at an elevation of 2,300 feet is Black Rock Ranch, home to Cougar's Leap Winery. The ranch is named after the large deposits of shiny obsidian rock exposed throughout the volcanic soils.
• Grey Wolf Vineyards, 2014 Zinfandel, Paso Robles. In 1994, the Barton Family established Grey Wolf Cellars with sights of running a boutique, craft winery focusing on small lot, high quality wines. Winemaker, Joe Barton has been doing just that ever since. Keeping with tradition, the Grey Wolf wines still entail small lot, creatively blended wines made from high quality grapes grown locally.
• Quivira Vineyards 2015 Black Boar, Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma. Scored 89 by Wine Spectator. At Quivira, their commitment to a wines balance and its reflection of terroir is what drives all their efforts. They invite you to learn how this philosophy is reflected throughout Quivira by exploring their wines, vineyard, and estate farm and gardens.
• Steele Wines, 2014 Catfish Vineyard, Clearlake. The Steele winery is in Lake County, directly north of Napa County and directly east of Mendocino County. Lake County is one of the most rural, least populated and developed of the North Coast's grape growing regions. The county supports 32 wineries and 8,800 acres of wine grapes, compared to 16,700 in Mendocino, 45,000 in Napa and 60,000 in Sonoma.
