DeLille Cellars D2 “Heart” Label
Since there founding in 1992, DeLille Cellars has partnered with select charities and helped to raise more than one million dollars for these organizations. The DeLille Cellars D2 “Heart” label is designed specifically for our support of various non-profits, and we label a limited quantity of bottles in red each year. For more information, please visit our website at www.delillecellars.com.
D2 takes its name from the grand route du vin, or great wine road that travels through the historic chateau region of Bordeaux. Blending the traditional grape varietals from that region produces wines of complexity, elegance and style. Considering that Washington State has long been known to produce some of the finest Merlot in the New World, we make a blend that leads with Merlot (58%) followed by Cabernet Sauvignon (36%), Cabernet Franc (5%) and Petit Verdot (1%). This Merlot-dominant blend delivers warm layers of red and black fruits and soft tannins with an array of flowers and spices. For greater complexity, we rest the wine in French oak barrels for 18 months prior to bottling.
