di Rosa houses the foremost collection of contemporary San Francisco Bay Area Art in the nation, consisting of over 2,000 works by more than 800 artists. A wide range of styles, media and subject matter comprise a history lesson in the creative energy and freedom to experiment that characterize this region of California.

Tour the di Rosa Gatehouse Gallery (November 1st - January 25th, 2015)
In a moment and context where technology reigns, and remarkable images can be generated with the push of a button, the relevance of painting persists. The Presence of the Present: Teresa Baker, Liam Everett, Leslie Shows explores new work by three accomplished bay area artists whose seemingly disparate aproaches to the painted surface share a distinct alertness to materiality and place. Their work test the boundaries of the medium while shaping an argument against the allure of the virtual for an experience of the real.
