The Convert by Danai Gurira and directed by Michael John Garcé tell the story of Jekesai, a young girl who is forced to flee her home in South Africa to escape an arranged marriage and in the process discovers Christianity. Set in 1895 South Africa, The Convert explores the role religion had in shaping post-colonial Africa.

Cherokee by Lisa D’Amour and directed by Anne Kaufman tells the hilariouse story of two couples from Houston who embark on a camping trip and discover how routine modern life has become. This is the world premiere production of Cherokee, by director Anne Kauffman whose two productions Becky Shaw and Body Awareness received Barrymore Awards for Best Director and Best Play.

Don Juan Comes Back From Iraq by Paula Vogel and directed by Blanka Zizka tells the story of one Marine’s return from the war, and his journey of rediscovery by walking the streets of Philadelphia. With writing by Pulitzer Prize Winning Paula Vogel and an outstanding company of actors this World Premiere production should not be missed!

Wilma Theater tickets expire 6/22/14. Tickets can be used for any Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday Matinee or Sunday evening performance. Tickets not valid for Friday, Saturday evenings, Sunday Matinees, or Opening nights.
