Item Description
WOW, Amazing deal offered with a full 4 weeks tuition (Session D) for pee wee or junior camp (ages 4-8) for the first summer season of The Dwight Summer Day Camp. The Dwight school in NYC is offering an amazing summer camp filled with lots of activities and events.
The Dwight Summer Day Camp embraces the same philosophy as the Dwight Schools, which is to find and ignite the “spark of genius” in every child. Since the founding of its flagship campus in New York in 1872, Dwight has grown to encompass campuses and programs in London, Canada, Beijing and Seoul – all of which share the same approach to learning. This approach is built on three pillars: Personalized Learning, Community and Global Vision.
Dwight Summer Day Camp is in session Monday – Friday from 8:30 – 4:30 and the 4 week program runs June 27-July 26 (Session D)
Our program offers a diverse set of activities that is sure to ignite the spark of genius in your camper. In addition to all sports and activities, the Pee wee and Junior divisions will have a weekly off-site trip.
Pee Wee campers receive extra special attention from our skilled staff. We recognize they need a diversity of experiences to continue their emotional and social growth and offer a full day of activities that supports their growth. Whether it’s sports, swimming, or creative arts, we use “learning through play” to refine motor skills, build self-confidence and gain a greater sense of independence.
Junior campers build on basic sports and creative arts skills while focusing on the fundamentals of team sports and cooperative play. They learn and incorporate rules and sporting principles in all activities, and are challenged to master skills through repetitive practice and drills.
Junior campers are introduced to real world playing and performing conditions through scrimmages, games, and group or individual performances. The goal is to build self-confidence and independence while emphasizing the positive aspects of competition.
Mike Bailey, formerly of Asphalt Green, is the new director of Dwight's extended Summer Day Camp program. Mike draws from decades of experience and expertise, and has paid particular attention to crafting programs that are in alignment with the Dwight philosophy. The result is a camp that provides a fun and safe environment where each camper can nurture his or her greatest potential.
