Founded in 1948 by a WWII veteran returning from service, Donelan's pioneered a bold new concept in grocery stores: a self-service store, where customers could walk in and select their own food. Since then Donelan's has continue to expand and innovate, opening new locations and investing in the best technologies for both in-store and online retail. Donelan's trades the harsh fluorescents and linoleum of a traditional grocery store for ambient lighting, classical music, and a child daycare area, to invite you to shop in their rich and relaxing atmosphere.
