Description

The albo monstera plant is a coveted rare plant in the houseplant collector community. It is a monstera deliciosa plant that has the albinism gene, so it cannot be grown from a seed and can only be grown by taking a cutting from an existing plant and rooting it in water.

The winner of this item will receive one top-cut leaf and stem node that has already begun establishing healthy roots, and will be transferred in water. The leaves will have some brown areas. This is normal due to the lack of chlorophyll in the white portion of the leaves. Albo monstera rooted cuttings can survive in water for up to 2 years with regular water replacement, or they can be planted in a pot with well-draining soil once the roots have grown over a couple inches long.

There are many instructional links online for transferring a leaf from water to soil, including ideal pots or soil types to use, to ensure a successful potting/planting, but success cannot be guaranteed. Any questions can be answered during pick-up.
