Locally made Terrapin Knits Christmas stocking.

All the yarns are "heather", which means that very slight flecks of other colors are visible, adding to the richness and complexity of the hue. The green is a strong, dark sylvan green, the red has a deep antique look, and the ivory cream sets off the other colors well. Made with a hand powered knitting loom in Lincoln, VT. 100% Wool.
The stocking measures approx. 17" vertically from heel to cuff, or 22? diagonally from toe to cuff and about 6" across in the middle; the foot measures about 9". The stocking becomes quite a bit longer when hanging and stuffed: it stretches pleasantly.... like a knit hat or mittens. The stocking is steamed lightly to felt the yarn carries inside.
