Lindsay Rose Rando grew up on the counter of her grandmother?s consignment shop, the Treasure Chest that she owned and operated. With the example of her grandmother and her hardworking mother, Lindsay was instilled at a young age with a love of fashion and the drive to work hard to create something great. This is also where she learned fashion doesn?t have to come at a high price. After college, Lindsay and her fiancÚ at the time, now husband Derek Rando drove across country to move to Los Angeles, CA. There she modeled and Derek gigged as a musician around the city. Although Lindsay loved the fashion industry, she didn?t love her role in it at the time. Back in New England her aunt Valerie White, sold jewelry on Newbury Street with a pushcart. This inspired Lindsay to do the same. She grabbed $70 from her bank account and went to the fashion district to purchase pieces, bought a bar cart from Sears, and headed to downtown LA to sell at noon to people on their lunch breaks. By 1pm she was sold out of everything she had purchased. It was then she realized that this is something she loved doing and it worked. Lindsay's grandmother always said, ?Find what you love to do and money will follow,? and that is exactly what she did for two years until she finally made her way back to New England. Back in New England Lindsay's aunt Valerie now owned her own storefront in Marblehead, MA. The two decided to join forces and opened the first ever Bobbles & Lace in 2008 at 92 Washington St. in Marblehead, MA. Bobbles representing Valerie and her jewelry, Lace representing Lindsay and her clothing. The store was an instant success and they sold out of every piece of merchandise they had in their first week of open. One location turned into two, then three, and although Valerie has since retired, Bobbles & Lace has grown to eight corporate locations and 3 franchise locations with more to come!
