The Montgomery County Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) privately funded animal welfare organization, located in Rockville, Md. We are dedicated to ending animal homelessness in our community. We rescue homeless animals from crowded shelters in our region, giving a better chance for hundreds of cats and dogs to find loving homes. Our education programs teach children, teens and adults to respect animals, promote the importance of responsible pet care, and support families so they can keep their pets at home and out of shelters. MCHS receives no funding from any government entity, and relies on private donations to carry on our lifesaving work and programs.
